SOUTH BAY BEACH
SOUTH BAY BEACH
Yearning for a beach day out, but without the crowds? Look no further than South Bay Beach, located along the southernmost part of Repulse Bay. It requires more effort to get there compared to nearby Repulse Bay Beach and Middle Bay Beach, which are both served directly by public transport – that might explain why South Bay Beach is less frequented. Set within a secluded cove, South Bay Beach offers clear water, calm waves, barbeque pits and a great sunset view facing the roller coasters of Ocean Park. The beach is also an ideal spot for open-water swimming and stand-up paddleboarding.
STANLEY MAIN BEACH
STANLEY MAIN BEACH
Often buzzing with energy on weekends, Stanley Main Beach offers a great open view of Tai Tam Bay, as well as Red Hill – a headland lined with high-end residences – and the ridge of the iconic Dragon’s Back mountain. For Hong Kong architect and designer Frank Leung, the appeal of this hotspot is in how multifaceted it is – you can combine a beach day with browsing through little shops in the intimate village and having a leisurely meal at one of the waterfront restaurants.
When you talk about Stanley, it’s not just a beachfront, but the whole lifestyle setting. It’s an experience

REPULSE BAY BEACH
REPULSE BAY BEACH
Repulse Bay Beach, a 292-metre-long (958-foot) strip of golden sand that stretches beneath luxurious residential houses and towers, is a symbol of the Southside’s way of life. Leisure seekers can take a swim in the calm waters, enjoy watersports such as wakesurfing, or stroll along the Seaview Promenade that leads all the way to Deep Water Bay. They can also partake in the international dining options at The Pulse mall, or savour a glass of wine at one of the beachside restaurants while watching the world go by.
