This prestigious school for kindergarten, primary
and secondary students comprises two campuses
nestled at the foot of verdant Nam Long Shan, also
known as Brick Hill. It is within easy reach of
both Aberdeen and Wong Chuk Hang, and is also a
stone’s throw away from the South Island Line of
the MTR that provides a quick link between the
Southside and downtown Hong Kong. Here, more than
1,500 students, who represent 20 different
nationalities, enjoy a peaceful and scenic setting
for learning, while city life remains close at
hand.
MURRAY HOUSE
A saunter through Victorian-era Murray House
serves as a lesson in Hong Kong history and
heritage conservation. It takes pride of place on
the Stanley waterfront today, but when it was
originally built in the 1840s as a barracks for
British military officers, it sat in the Central
district overlooking Victoria Harbour. In 1982,
Murray House was dismantled brick by brick to make
way for the Bank of China Tower, with every piece
labelled and kept in storage until the building
could be reconstructed in Stanley in 2001. While
exploring this architectural wonder, you can pay a
visit to King Ludwig Beerhall on the second floor
to enjoy authentic German beers, cuisine and
ambience.
